Play with us
We're looking for new players to join the Manawatu Jazz Club Big Swing Band, a jazz big swing band in Palmerston North, in the Manawatu, New Zealand, led by Trevor Castle.
Who we're looking for
We welcome players across the lineup: trumpet, saxophone, trombone, clarinet, drums, guitar, bass, and piano/keyboard. Whether you play big band charts every week or it's been a while since your last one, get in touch — sections grow at different paces and there's usually a chair worth trying.
What to expect
The band rehearses in Palmerston North under the direction of Trevor Castle and plays public dates through the year, from club nights to cabarets such as the Levin RSA Cabaret.
How to join
Message the band on Facebook or get in touch through the Manawatu Jazz Club, and we'll point you to the next rehearsal.
